The Problem

In 2013, the API and technology industry was at a turning point. Inspired by the work of companies like Google and Salesforce, products such as Stripe, Tilio, and SendGrid launched innovation in the form of the API Economy. At the same time, the microservices architecture began to dominate the market, with companies like Netflix and Amazon sharing their microservices-driven anti-monolithic mentality with the greater public. For the first time, APIs were moving from the backend to the boardroom—and as such, voices were needed to help inform and guide this momentous sea change.

The Solution

Nordic APIs was leveraged as a source of truth and authoritative resource for APIs and their paradigms, frameworks, and modalities.
